Just Started blogging!
Well, like many others I have waded through the URLs and whatnots to begin blogging. I wanted to do this to share a bit of my creativity and get ideas from like minded creative folks. Nothing like sharing to help ideas reach their full potential. I know this is going to be fun. Can't wait to start the adventure!

Wow. I check in with Facebook almost everyday and I always have to stop by Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville site. She has such wonderful adventures jetting all over the world teaching her wonderful scrap quilt techniques.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that she is a true inspiration to me. I am currently working on my second quilt since December. Both of these quilts are made solely from scraps. I used to be so picky about what went with what and things had to be so coordinated. I'm finding that Bonnie's theory of "If its still ugly, cut it smaller, is so true. I have created beauty from the chaos of letting go of the order I used to try to create and I have found beauty in the mix of scraps.
I have so much fabric that I know I won't run out any time soon....or even in my lifetime so I am looking forward to more play with my mounds of stash.
If I could I'd spend all day in my sewing room creating. I'm finding such joy in all the color combos and the way they almost form there own dance. Looking closer though, I see Kermit the frog, fish, flowers and smiley faces hidden amongst the blasts of color. This scrap experience is a blast! Thanks Bonnie!
Oh...and if I ever find my missing camera, Ill post some pics!
